The Republic of Kenya's Ministry of Water & Sanitation and Irrigation formally recognised PETRAD AID as an NGA providing services to vulnerable groups, and officially recommends PETRAD AID for any assistance in Water, Sanitation, and livelihood improvement work.

Nairobi City County formally recognised PETRAD AID as a committed NGO partner engaged in city-wide monthly clean-up programmes, contributing to environmental conservation across Nairobi.

PETRAD AID signed a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education's Directorate of Adult and Continuing Education in Turkana County on 22nd May 2023, to jointly address the county's over 80% illiteracy rate through Adult Basic Education (ABE) programmes.
Under the MoU, PETRAD AID identifies high-illiteracy areas, provides teacher training logistics, supplies teaching and learning materials to ABE Centres, and conducts joint monitoring and evaluation. The MoU targets increasing teachers to 350 in the sub-county and promoting adult learners to National Examination level by 2027.

PETRAD AID holds an official IEBC Certificate of Accreditation as a Voter Education Provider under the Elections Act, 2011 Section 40(2), authorised to operate in All Counties across Kenya. PETRAD AID actively collaborated with IEBC during the 2022 General Election and is building further collaboration ahead of 2027.
The Turkana County Government, through the Office of the Governor, formally confirmed PETRAD AID's registration and recommended the organisation for any assistance. The letter acknowledges PETRAD AID's WASH work in Kakuma, peace building across Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan and Ethiopia, and activities in Agriculture, Relief, Human Rights, and Energy/Water/Sanitation.

The Kenya Forest Service, Ministry of Environment and Forestry Resources, recognised PETRAD AID as a champion of climate change response and environmental conservation in Turkana County. The Sub-County Forest Conservator formally recommended PETRAD AID for work on tree planting, greening economy, and natural resource sensitisation.

The Judiciary's Kakuma Court Community Users Committee (CUC), covering Turkana West and Lokichogio Sub Counties, formally recognised PETRAD AID as a trusted partner in access to justice, gender equality, and community rights education. The Senior Principal Magistrate highly recommends PETRAD AID for future engagements.

PETRAD AID engages contract staff to support specific programmes, projects, and time-bound deliverables. Contract roles are ideal for skilled professionals seeking meaningful short-to-medium term placements in the humanitarian and development sector.
Contract staff are engaged on fixed-term agreements to deliver specific project outputs. Contracts typically range from 3 to 12 months and may be renewed based on performance and programme needs.
All contract staff must uphold PETRAD AID's code of conduct, PSEA policy, and safeguarding standards.

PETRAD AID welcomes international professionals who bring specialised expertise to support our mission. Expatriate placements are used where specific technical skills are not locally available and contribute to knowledge transfer and capacity building.
Expatriate professionals are placed in technical advisory, senior programme, and specialised field roles. All placements include a structured knowledge transfer component to build local capacity.
Interested international professionals are encouraged to submit an expression of interest at any time. We maintain a roster of vetted candidates for deployment when relevant opportunities arise.
