A Noble Vision to Serve Humanity
The People Transformation and Development Aid (PETRAD AID) was founded out of a noble vision to serve humanity and promote dignity, justice, and opportunity for vulnerable communities in Kenya and beyond.
The organization was initiated by Evanson Ekitela Epetet, whose lifelong commitment to humanitarian service inspired the establishment of PETRAD AID as a platform for community transformation, resilience, and inclusive development.
The noble inborn idea to serve humanity in the world and country of Kenya for past, present, and future generations was initiated by Evanson Epetet. With practical experience in large, extensive, busy, and complex humanitarian environments, he brought to the organization a strong foundation in relief, emergency response, displaced persons support, and humanitarian operations in the Horn of Africa.
These experiences shaped the vision of PETRAD AID and strengthened its commitment to serving marginalized, vulnerable, and underserved populations.
Responding to Community Needs
PETRAD AID was established to respond to the social, economic, civic, and humanitarian challenges affecting communities, especially widows, children, youth, women, misplaced persons, and other vulnerable groups.
Since its formation, the organization has focused on promoting sustainable livelihoods, peacebuilding, human rights, legal aid, environmental stewardship, relief and disaster response, health and nutrition, research, and education.
The organization believes that real transformation begins with people. For this reason, PETRAD AID works closely with communities to identify needs, strengthen local capacities, and design practical interventions that improve lives and build resilience.
Through community engagement, advocacy, partnerships, and evidence-based programming, PETRAD AID continues to expand its role as a locally rooted organization with a broad humanitarian and development outlook.
Today, PETRAD AID stands as a growing organization committed to creating a dignified, peaceful, and inclusive society. Its history is grounded in compassion, service, and the belief that every person deserves the chance to live with dignity and hope.
