The People Transformation and
Development Aid (PETRAD AID)
PETRAD AID was founded in 2018 in Nairobi, Kenya, with a clear purpose:
to serve the most vulnerable members of our communities — widows, youth,
children, women, people with disabilities, and marginalized households
facing poverty, exclusion, and rights violations.
We operate through seven integrated programme areas spanning livelihood
and economic inclusion, peace building, human rights and legal aid,
water and sanitation, health and nutrition, education, and emergency
relief. Our work is grounded in a MEAL accountability framework and a
Kaizen approach to continuous improvement.
PETRAD AID is headquartered in Kibra, Nairobi — one of the most densely
populated urban areas in East Africa — where the organization works
directly alongside the communities it serves.
